Weekly Recap

What an exciting week this has been! The Drummin’ Around YouTube channel not only surpassed 200 videos but also 200 subscribers! And Week 4 of the Hybrid Rudiments Video Series continued with five fresh hybrids. New hybrids included the Didda-let, Dragateenth, Side Flamadiddle, Four Note Swiss Army Triplet, and Cheese-Ka. The Cheese-Ka

The week concludes with day 20 of the Hybrid Rudiments Video Series with the Cheese-Ka! The Cheese-Ka is a Four Note Swiss Army Triplet with an accent on the fourth note. It is also called the “Aaron Swiss.” Have fun with the Cheese-Ka and happy drumming!

Four Note Swiss Army Triplet

Day 19 of the Hybrid Rudiments Video Series – the Four Note Swiss Army Triplet! A Four Note Swiss Army Triplet is a Swiss Army Triplet with an extra note on the same hand after the flam. Happy drumming!

Have a Side (of) Flamadiddle

Day 18 of the Hybrid Rudiments Video Series – the Side Flamadiddle. The Side Flamadiddle is a four-note grouping sticked RLLL or LRRR with a flam on the first note of each. Happy drumming!

The Dragateenth

Day 17 of the Hybrid Rudiments Video Series – Dragateenth. The Dragateenth is a group of four 16th notes played as alternating strokes with the first note diddled (double stroke/drag).

The Didda-let

The Didda-let leads this weeks edition of the Hybrid Rudiments Video Series. A Didda-let is a single accented stroke followed by a double stroke. Enjoy this simple but fun hybrid and happy drumming!
